From the moment I read the audition scene for "Piece of Mind" I knew that the role of "Cletis" in "Piece of Mind" was one I could surely sink my teeth into. When creator and producer David Gutel called to tell me I had been chosen for the part, it was one I had been hoping to receive since meeting him for the audition. One of the things I love most about acting is creating the story within the story about a character. This is the part of the character that is not in the screenplay or the character abstract. With these elements I have the freedom to create Cletis as a person - answering the questions "Who is he" "What compells him to be the way he is and do the things he does" and most importantly, "What event, what breaking point in his life made him what he is and pushed him past the point of no return." This is what makes acting more than just pretending to be someone on screen - this is where the person on the screen comes alive.

This will be a challenging and fun project and I can't wait to strap on the Cattleman .45 for a showdown at noon. Below is a quick synopsis I wrote of the story. This is not from the creator/writer, but my take on the story that will be told. Enjoy.

Cletis is a lifelong criminal quick to murder anyone who got in his way. Now, after 20 years, he stands before one of the many faces who have come seeking revenge.

At age 15, Brad watched this hard, cold blooded killer gun down a good man, a good sheriff, and a good father. His father. For 20 years, he clutched the tin star that hung on his fathers chest and for 20 years he watched it slowly rust as he chased and hunted the man who stood over his father's dying body and put a bullet between his eyes.

Now, he stands in front of the man who has consumed since child, staring into the cold empty eyes he hopes to soon see glass over lifeless.

Will the near three-decade long reign of terror come to an end with a grieving sons vendetta? Or, will yet another seeker of justice fall prey to the bullet of one of the most murderous outlaws to ever live?

One things for sure - at the end of this day neither man will walk away with peace of mind.
